Consumer Sentinel receives consumer complaints from many different entities.  The following organizations share their consumer complaint data with Consumer Sentinel. Each week, hundreds of complaints are transferred from databases to Consumer Sentinel. While only law enforcement organizations have access to Consumer Sentinel complaint data, organizations like the Better Business Bureaus and National Consumers League know that by sharing their complaint data they are arming law enforcement officials with the information they need to continue the fight against consumer fraud and identity theft.

Top Sentinel Data Contributors, 2002 Federal Trade Commission The FTC works for the consumer to prevent fraudulent, deceptive and unfair business practices in the marketplace and to provide information to help consumers spot, stop and avoid them. PhoneBusters PhoneBusters is Canada's deceptive telemarketing call center, coordinated by the Ontario Provincial police, with many federal, provincial, and private partners, including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Industry Canada, VISA, and Mastercard. National Consumers League America's oldest nonprofit consumer organization. Among its activities on behalf of consumers, the National Consumers League operates the National Fraud Information Center/Internet Fraud Watch, a hotline that provides advice about offers made by phone and online and transmits information about suspected telemarketing and Internet fraud to law enforcement agencies. Better Business Bureaus Better Business Bureaus are dedicated to fostering fair and honest relationships between businesses and consumers, instilling consumer confidence and contributing to an ethical business environment. The Internet Crime Complaint Center The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C). The IC3's mission is to address fraud and other crimes committed over the Internet.
